The Suzuki company had earlier had an alliance with TVS Motor company. In 2001 to 2001 the company discontinued its joint venture with TVS and announced its come back into the two wheeler industry. The Suzuki brand has a major customer recall as a car industry rather than motor cycles. Its branding with Maruti Udyog makes it a larger known enterprise as a car manufacturer with its plant in Gurgaon.

It is to be noted that the first Suzuki motor bike on the Indian roads was the Ind Suzuki which had an alliance with TVS motors. The Samurai, Max 100 and Shogun were other popular brands in the 1990’s.
The most coveted import brand Suzuki Hayabusa is a passion amongst a niche clientele. With popular celebrity John Abraham riding on the bike many imports on the Hayabusa are slated in 2008.
